Hop Tree (Ptelea trifoliata) 1yr

Hop Tree (Ptelea trilofoliata) is a native shrub ,with seeds similar to hops and may be used rarely as  a substitute.  This plant is  hardy zone 4-9  and the seed we use is harvested in MNR 34 seed zone. Dark Green leaves , likes sandy coarse soils .  can take heavy shade, found often in moist understory. Unisexual, flowers important nectar for Monarch Butterfly and other native insects.
