White Cedar (Thuja occidentalis)  native of eastern Canada, used as a specimen or as a hedge,  it has many variations . grows on wetlands , tolerates variable soil conditions, foliage is soft, and aromic. Wood is used as fenceposts , planking , for poles and for rustic cabins. Oils are used for disinfectant and cleaners . Will not tolerate road salt .
